Post op day 1:
We think B's surgery went well--her eyes seem better aligned and not as swollen as the last one. Doc thought so too when we saw him today. Itching seems to be her biggest complaint at this point.
Unfortunately her ear started draining nasty bloody fluid tonight just before bed. Get to call ENT in the morning and schedule another appointment. Yippee.
S has been a little beast with constant crying today. She is tired from the past couple days of getting woken up early and shipped around to different friends while we dealt with B's stuff. Hasn't been eating and pretty inconsolable. Plus a fountain of snot and coughing. Fun times. Think her stomach must of hurt her all day because right before dinner she pooped (you want details--I know!) and I think she felt much better because she actually ate breadsticks at dinner.
I'm giving her til Friday and then she wins herself a visit to the Doc.
E's working all tonight. Glad I got him to take off work during the day or I would be in the looney bin right now.
Instead, my nausea just decided to come back for the evening when he was gone. Nice. Did I mention I am prego? Boy. Due in August. Don't worry, he'll get his own little post soon enough.
Fazoli's tasted gross. But hanging out watching Tinkerbell with my girls was fun. S stopped crying for that.
All in all, it was about the same as what I remember about post op day 1 last time. It's usually the Worst day and then it gets better from here.
You should see my house. Then it would make you feel better about your own. :)
And how much I have spent in parking at the hospital in the last week! $$
But gotta say a big Thank you to my friend, Kaicie, who not only watched S all day yesterday but also brought us dinner last night!
And many thanks for the calls/emails from you-know-who-you are. To be honest, I am too exhausted to call back at this point and when S is awake I can't hear over her crying anyhow. But I do appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
And know that I do realize you, true friends, are priceless.

I almost didn't catch that little bit of news. That's exciting. Let's chat 3 kids sometime when you're done with all that fun stuff.
BOY...SHUT IT! SO FANTASTIC!!!! Good luck in survival mode. We should probably plan on catching up in August...hahahah!
Seriously as I was reading about post op, I was thinking, well at least she isn't sick and pregnant on top of it all! Then I read the word nausea and I know it had to be.
Glad the surgery went well, sorry about S feeling sick and you too. Wish I could have you over for dinner. Love and miss you and a HUGE congrats on the BOY!

WOOHOO!!!! Congratulations on having a little boy! That is great news. Yes, I should have read your blog before I emailed you back. Most of my questions would have been answered. Glad Bella is looking good. Hope everything continues to heal properly and give the girl a break. She deserves it! Hope to talk to you soon. Love ya, Steph
Congrats! I hope the 'survival mode' is a short as possible for your sake. Sometimes it feels like life is one long survival mode.
Congrats on the boy!!!!! I'm glad things are looking better for Bella. Hope things normalize soon for you. Made a post just for you on my blog. Check it. XOXO
Congratulations!! But, so sad you are sick. And I promise.. you really should see my house and trust me, you would feel better about your own!! Man, life and kids are so crazy!!! I can so relate. Hope things get easier soon!!!
Ditto...congrats(!!!) and glad things went well for B. Wish we were close as well to help out. Hope you are feeling well and that E is around a bit more. So glad Kaicie is close and such a good friend.
I didn't know B had another eye surgery. I hope things go well as she feels better. It sounds like a tough week. I am sorry! I hope you and everyone are all feeling better double quick! Congrats on the BOY!!!
Kids are fun. It's probably a good thing you are already pregnant . . . otherwise you might have changed your mind :). That's usually my first symptom of pregnancy- I decide that maybe we should wait a little longer and then I miss my period.
