The Little Mother

In one of her quiet moments (not a common occurrence), B can be found taking care of "her baby." She is learning to be soft and that babies need bottles and diapers. Of course, her size 4 diapers go up to the doll's neck. I should have saved some of those newborn diapers! Rats!
What a good mommy! Look at her aristocratic pinky up in the air as she gives the baby the bottle (and yes this picture was a couple weeks ago). Of course, 5 seconds later I think she threw the doll down on its' head and ran off to the next thing. You can only be so good . . .

But really, aren't we all just practicing at being good mommies (& daddies)? My parents told me I was their practice child, as I was the oldest. And don't doctors "practice?" In fact, in the nursing profession, the order is "watch one, do one, teach one." I guess that's just how life goes. What do you think?

So cute with that pinky. Sienna spends at least one hour every day caring for her babies too. Usually she sings them a lullaby, rocks them, and puts them to sleep. I know I need more practice being a good mommy when my kids do things that FRUSTRATE me!

Since you were leaving comments I was curious to see if you updated your blog and I was excited to see that you have! Way to go. It is such a great way to keep in touch.

What a good mommy and she doesn't even have a sibling yet that she should be practicing for :) Can't wait to see pictures of the kitchen!

Ohhh, the baby doll, a favorite at our house. I like watching B be a second mommy to J at aerobics--very sweet always watching out for him.
