Apologies

First off, "I AM SORRY FOR NOT TELLING YOU ABOUT MY BLOG." Let me just say that this started out as a hidden practice blog that E and I decided to try for 1 week to see how much time it consumed. We did not intend on emailing the address out to anyone or anything.

Anyhow, somehow "people" (aka friends) have found my secret and now I am getting comments left and right about "how come you didn't tell me about your blog!" (I've been told red is an angry color)

So, I've already explained reason number 1.
Reason number 2: this blog was created mainly for my selfish purposes of talking about myself to myself and showing E how witty I truly am. ;)
Reason number 3: this blog was then created for the purpose of possibly showing pictures to my family instead of having to email them long slideshows of pictures from Shutterfly, etc.
Reason number 4: after figuring out that it really took us too much time, E and I decided that this blog was not going to happen. Until recently . . .
Reason number 5: I have no idea how to invite people to view my blog. E tried to figure it out LAST NIGHT (thank you very much!) after I thought perhaps I would pursue the blog avenue since a couple friends told me some shortcuts to make it less time consuming. But his attempts failed.

So, I am still probably going to continue not spreading the word about my blog, because I like to think of it as a hidden "treasure" that you may find through a lesson in cartography (i.e. Heather or Brittany's blog). Thank you them for being the gatekeepers.

Ok, and to finish off this post: here's the most recent picture of my cute brother N. He is in Panama on an LDS mission and returns in May! So, mark your calendars girls! Here is one cute eligible bachelor! He is a strapping blonde-haired blue-eyed farmer-tanned 6'6"(you think I'm tall?) gringo ready for the taking as of June. (OK, i REALIZE that my small readership is most likely all married . . . )

Come on, like I'd really try and place a want ad for a missionary. PLEASE . . . what type of person do you think I am?! ;)

But seriously, I am sincerely proud of him. He has been a hard worker and even recently when he has had to camp out in his apartment due to gang wars, he has stuck it out. I can't wait to see him and pray for his safe return!

hahahahaha...don't hate us :) :) you know, your brother is quite a looker. i have a multi-tattooed/pierced and impressively short little sister that could use a good man of God. If he's interested, you know where to find us!

Oh Rachel! I'll be so sad if you don't keep posting - you really don't have to include pictures if it takes too long. As for the invites, yours is currently a public blog that anyone can read, so they don't need invites. To let people know, just send out a mass email with a link to your blog address and they'll all find it. Hope you reconsider! I'd be happy to have you come over and teach you some timesaving tricks any day this week!

Rachel...I had NO idea as well that you had a blog!! You should have heard my expression when seeing your name upon the Whiteheads blog. Guess good things come to those who blog surf others names. Anyways, I will be glad to have something to keep in touch even when some of us "Ohioans" have to move away.

Once you commented on my blog, I was just able to click on your name and get right to your blog. I wondered if it was secret since I didn't know about it. If you decided to make it more private again you could (although I like reading it!) - you could make people sign in and you can make it so it's not searchable through google or blogspot.

My oldest brother served in Haiti and there were multiple periods of 2 weeks at a time or so where they had to stay in their apt. for the same reason - they could hear bombs, gunshots, etc. nearby (ok, sorry, you probably did not want to hear that last part) ... but he made it home safely! That is exciting that your brother gets home in May - I can't believe that, I can still picture him before he hit puberty! haha, I'm sure he would love comments like this.

Okay, I'll end my novel!
